SILENT PHILANTHROPIST AT WORK IN EKET

Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others. Help others without any reason and give without the expectation of receiving anything in return. This is a Government Secondary School located in the serene village of Afaha Atai in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. A silent philanthropist and an unsung hero by name, Engineer Itok Francis Etok of the neighbouring village of Iko Ekwa just quietly walked inside the school and conducted some needs assessment test. When the chips were finally down, and before the students of the school could say Jack Robinson, the kind hearted man has succeeded in personally renovated a four classroom block and also constructed a brand new assembly hall replete with state of the art facilities including three hundred seats, physics laboratory, stores, male and female conveniences et al. Because of his noble deeds, the school is now on the verge of having a WASCE approved centre. The facilities will soon be commissioned and handed over to the government for effective use and good maintenance culture. Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. In the words of Albert Einstein, only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others? No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another.
